Known as "Today's Town...with Yesterday's Touch", Farmingdale, and its Main Street, dates back to an Indian path toward the Manasquan River. The town of Farmingdale started out with two stores, two taverns, and 10-12 dwellings.

Vital Statistics

The Borough's Office of Vital Statistics is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is responsible for the issuance of birth, death and marriage certificates and marriage licenses.

Certified copies of Birth Certificates can only be issued if the birth is an at home birth that takes place in Farmingdale.

Certified copies of Marriage Licenses can only be issued if the marriage took place in the Borough of Farmingdale.

Certified copies of Death Certificates can only be issued if the death took place at home within the Borough of Farmingdale.

The fee for all certified copies is $15.00 per copy.

Marriage licenses can be issued if either the bride or the groom resides in the Borough of Farmingdale. The marriage can be performed at any location within the State of New Jersey. The fee for a marriage license is $28.00.

The Mayor of the Borough of Farmingdale is authorized to perform marriages. If you are interested in requesting this service, please visit our list of documents and download the Marriage Ceremony Request Form and fax it to the Borough's Administrative Offices.
